We were with the little Axel in his struggle with life…

The first baby of the Belgian couple Cindy Simone and, the little Axel held on to life at the Hisar Intercontinental Hospital...

Cindy Simone, who lived in Lookeren in Belgium, came to Bodrum in the 30th week of her pregnancy with the permission of her doctor. The holiday started nicely but in the first days of the holiday she was admitted to hospital with the toughness in her stomach and the sudden bleeding. Following the first intervention in Bodrum, it came about that the hospital could not meet the intensive care conditions sufficiently neither for the baby nor for the mother.  The family started to look for a good hospital in Istanbul and after discussing the situation with the insurance company in Belgium, they reached Hisar Intercontinental Hospital. The mother was brought to Hisar Intercontinental Hospital by a doctor and aircraft ambulance with the diagnosis that the placenta displaced too early and she was followed up for 5 days very carefully taking the necessary measures for the birth not to start early. However, when it came about that it was very important that the baby should be delivered by caesarean because of both the baby’s and the mother’s health, the baby that was born with a successful caesarean operation was taken to intensive care. The baby was 1.530 grams and was called Axel. Although there were problems of respiration and intestines at Baby Axel as in premature babies, following the 35 days successful intensive care and follow-up process, where he was fed by the mother, he was delivered to the family as 2.070 grams. Axel won this struggle of life from Belgium to Istanbul and he was seen off to his country healthily.
